Prediction markets let people buy contracts based on whether an event will happen. The price moves as traders react to news and disagree about the likely outcome.

You pay 60¢ for the contract. If the event happens, it pays $1—giving you 40¢ more than you paid, before fees. If it does not happen, it pays $0 and you lose the 60¢ you paid.
Important: People may describe 60¢ as roughly a “60% chance,” but it is only the market price. It does not mean 60% of voters support something, and it is not an IRC Media forecast.

AskThe lowest price a seller is currently willing to accept.
